Yes. Every feature is free and there is no credit card. Guests never need an account.

Do my friends need to download an app?

No. LockInStep works in any phone or computer browser. Guests tap your link, add their first name, and vote. You can add LockInStep to your home screen so it opens like an app.

How does LockInStep find a time that works?

Connect Google or Outlook and LockInStep only offers times you are actually free, inside the hours you like for that activity. Friends vote yes, maybe or no on each option and the best time rises to the top.

Can LockInStep help pick a place too?

Yes. You can add places, paste a Google Maps, OpenTable or Yelp link, or pick from spots near you or a ZIP code. Guests can vote on places and suggest their own.

Can LockInStep read my calendar events?

No. LockInStep only reads when you are busy or free. It never sees event names, attendees or details.

Does it work for one-on-one plans?

Yes. Invite one person and they simply tap the time that works. It also works for groups of any size, and you can save the people you see often as a group.

Is LockInStep really free? Are there ads?

Yes, it is free, with no pop-up ads and no paywall on deadlines, reminders, chat or RSVPs. Some booking buttons (like tickets or tours) are affiliate links, which may earn LockInStep a small fee at no cost to you.

Can I see all my plans in one calendar?

Yes. Every plan you lock in can go straight to Google, Apple or Outlook Calendar, and you can subscribe once so new plans show up on their own. Your outings sit next to work and school, all in one spot.

Do guests get reminders?

Yes, if they want them. Guests can add an email or turn on phone alerts, with no account, to hear when a plan is locked in or changes, see new chat messages, and get a reminder the day before.
